Blah Days

Fall in Finland is both crappy and beautiful. Since we are surrounded by lakes, trees, parks and forests, it's wonderful to look around at the scenery with the changing of the colours of the leaves. Even my front yard is really pretty.
The crappy part is the weather. We've been back in Finland for almost four weeks now and I think there's three days I saw sunlight. For realsies.
Cloudy with rain every single day. And it's getting darker out, I have the kids up and dressed and fed and Maddy dropped off at school and it is STILL dark outside. I hesitate to complain though, because I know it's going to get worse before it gets better.
The good news about this is that it helps me appreciate the weather when it is nice. Sunday was a great day, we were out in Vantaa watching our friend Jussi run his very first marathon. We saw a giant rainbow during the event and it was fun to stand along the track and cheer on the racers. Even though we were in our snowsuits, hat and mitts, at least the sun was out :)
